Activities/Projects

TGIP believes that through fundraisers and projects they can provide support to the homelands of the victims. TGIP plans on reaching out to the community by creating partnerships.  Future fundraisers will support the following:

Community-to-Community Partnership:                                             Link various segments of the local communities through locally sponsored TGIP Partnership projects. Fishing Boat Partnership: Identify local fishing communities in SL and through fundraising provide small fishing boats to the Sri Lanka fishing communities. The local partners in Sri Lanka will be responsible for the sustenance and maintenance of the boats. We are working with the Sri Lanka National Lions Clubs for this project.     Small Business Partnership: Identify the needs of the small business in Sri Lanka and find interested local business to assist their partners in Sri Lanka. SBP links CBICC and Hambontota District Chamber, SL.                                                                                                              School-to-School Partnership: Befriend and support a school by exchanging information, postcards, and art work between students and faculty that will result in a better international understanding among the students, faculty and parents.  Currently, three schools are enrolled in this project: Ferguson, Mt Nittany and Gray’s Woods in SCASD.
