Volunteers in Sri Lanka As a part of a long term volunteer exchange project, TGIP assisted the first volunteer leader to travel to Sri Lanka. We are hoping to start a small group volunteer exchange and student internship exchanges this Fall.

Adopt-A-School Project: Received a partnership invitation from Sri-Lanka. Dr. Asoka Jayasena, MD, Director of Children and Youth Development Centre wrote to us: Dr. U.B. Bakker Founding Chair TGIP Dear Sir, We are happy to explore the partnership/alliance with the TGIP. Therefore we are happy to start with the Pen Pal=Adopt A School Partnership between the students at your State College Area School District. Certainly this could help to build a bridge between our young children in SL and your US. Please let us know how we could start the process. Looking forward to hear from you. Visit with Mount Nittany School Administrators: Malcolm Kuno, Myron McClure and Dr. Bakker visited with the students, teachers and principals of the Mt. Nittany Middle School to discuss the adopt-a-school guidelines, pen pal exchange and support availible from TGIP for this project.
